Mentorship FAQs

Below are answers to some Frequently Asked Questions. I hope they will help you with your Mentorship
planning & get to enjoy fully your online learning experience

General info about the Mentorship

Our 2023 Mentorship programs are 4-week online progressive programs where you’re going to dive into a particular topic and each week build your skills and progress thanks to the close work with your instructor.
Some of the Mentorship programs will have a Recap week, where there will be no live class (this week is for consolidation and catch up).
Once the workshops are finished, you will still have some time to receive feedback from your instructor (generally 2 weeks). After that time, you’ll receive a certificate of completion and you can keep on practicing the content for 3 more months. You’ll be granted access to the Mentorship platform for a min of 3 months after the Mentorship is over (1 week after the last workshop).

The dates and times of the Mentorships are shared on the sales pages, on your online Mentorship platform and you’re going to receive multiple reminders in the Telegram group.

The dates of the live workshops of the Mentorships are usually happening during the weekends, in order to make it possible for the majority of people to carve some time to attend live.
The time conversion of the workshops will highly depend on where you are in the world and which Mentorships you’ve joined.

Don’t worry, everything is recorded, and all content is yours to access whenever you want on your course platfom!

We suggest booking some time at your local studio to complete each week’s class or asking around your pole dancing community to see if someone will let you borrow their pole setup!

To get the most out of this comprehensive program we recommend having a laptop or tablet with a strong wifi connection to participate in the weekly Zoom classes and for recording your homework, as well as access to Telegram, a pole to practice on and pole heels.
If, for some reason, you can’t have access to these tools, please let us know.

Some Mentorships might ask you to have some other equipment (eg knee pads), make sure you read all the info before the Mentorship starts or ask your questions to the IPD team.

You will have access to the course platform for 3 months after the Mentorship program ends. All workshop recordings and tutorials will be available, allowing you to revisit the lessons at any time.

If you can’t attend the workshops live, it’s not a problem. You’ll access the recordings right after class and can follow them up just like the actual workshops.

In order to benefit the most from the intensive period of a Mentorship program, you might wanna consider setting aside at least 2h or practice per week. With the live workshop time, you’d need around 4h of time commitment each week for the Mentorship.

If you can’t practice or fall behind the program, don’t worry, you’ll have access to the online platform for 3 months after the Mentorship ends

Clotilde & Amber from our IPD team, are the hosts of the Mentorship programs. You’ll receive complete customer support from them and the rest of the team at Indi Pole. We are here to help. If you decide to cancel your participation to the Mentorship program keep in mind that you cannot receive a refund.
All payments are non-refundable.

If the cancellation happens 7 days or more before the Mentorship start date: all payments are held in credit and can be used on any online or offline Indi Pole event, product or service

If the cancellation happens 6 days or less before the Mentorship start date: a cancellation fee of €150 applies, taken from your initial payment. Remaining payment after deduction of cancelation fee is held in credit and can be used on any online or offline Indi Pole event, product or service

If you’ve booked on the website for the initial payment so you can secure your slot, you’ll still need to complete your payment before the starting of the Mentorship. The following payments will be billed each month on the same date following the initial purchase. Your monthly instalment will be automatically charged. Failure to pay your monthly instalments will result in forfeiture of both your place in the program and your deposit. Deadline for the second payment is 2 weeks before the Mentorship starts.

After your purchase you should have automatically received  access to the Online Mentorship platform.
Before the start of the Mentorship you’ll get ready and familiarise with the online Mentorship platform (Kajabi), where you’ll find all the Mentorship content.

In the Telegram group you can get to know the rest of the group and introduce yourself.

The Mentorship kicks off with the first workshop on the starting day. It’s a 90 min workshop every week for 4 consecutive weeks.
Make sure you mark the dates of the workshops in your calendar.

After your purchase you should have received a 2 confirmation email, one from Kajabi and one with a reminder of the starting date of the Mentorship and the link to the Telegram group.
Check your spam first and then email us at: mentorships@indipoledance.com

Our Mentorships are intensive programs where you can get the option to be mentored through your learning. We always try to provide the best tools and support to help you progress fast.

We recommend to plan ahead your journey.
First, add to your calendar the dates of the Zoom Workshops.
Then plan ahead your weeks and weekly training during the Mentorship. In order to benefit the most from the intensive period of a Mentorship program, you might wanna consider setting aside at least 2h or practice per week. With the live workshop time, you’d need around 4h of time commitment each week for the Mentorship.

And also, make sure you’re familiar with how Telegram and Zoom work.

The weekly workshops are held on Zoom.
You can download Zoom for free both for your desktop and phone.
You’re going to receive on Telegram a Zoom link that will be valid for all the workshops.
You will be able to find the same Zoom link on your online Mentorship platform (Kajabi), along with the dates and time of the workshops.

You’ll receive the link to access Kajabi and create your account directly when purchasing your Mentorship on our website. An email is automatically sent out after this step. Please keep in mind that all important communication are happening through Telegram.

We recommend using a laptop. Make sure the place has enough light and you’ll be within the frame while dancing. For this, using a wide angle lens on the computer camera can help or you can consider downloading some Apps on your camera. For the sound, Airpods/bluetooth headphones are useful, so you can hear your instructor well and ask questions while being on the pole.

During the 4-week Mentorship

The live attendance to the workshops is not mandatory.
All the workshops are recorded and uploaded on your online Mentorship platform (Kajabi).
If for any reason you’re missing the workshops or you can’t attend because the time is not feasible for your timezone, you can catch up with the recordings at any time!

Time conversions for the main timezones will be provided and can be found in the Telegram group as well as on the online Mentorship platform.
If you’re living in a timezone that is not mentioned or you are unsure about the time, please reach out in the Telegram group or privately to your Mentorship host, Clotilde (@Chlotichilda on Telegram).

Some Mentorship will be affected by daylight saving shift, the time conversions are already taking this into account.
You will receive multiple reminders about your workshops (24h before and 1h before the workshops).
If you have any doubt about the time conversions for your timezone, please reach out in the Telegram group or privately to your Mentorship host.

To make it easier for instructors to dedicate their attention to all the students and give personal feedback, you’ll be able to share your videos with your instructor once per week.

Each week you are asked to send 1 video for feedback to your instructor.

You will be sharing the link to the video in the section on Kajabi “Personalized Feedback”.

We recommend using Youtube to upload your videos. If you’re unsure how to do it, check out this video demo. You can also use: Vimeo, Dropbox, Google Drive, or any other sharing tool, providing that the sharing settings allow us to view the video.

The content of this max 2 min video should be only about what you’ve learned in class.
You can send the video for the Week until 24 h before the next workshop to allow the instructor to start reviewing them.

You’ll receive your personalised feedback as a private message. Allow 3-5 days for the instructor to review your video.

We understand your need for privacy. You are not required to publicly post your videos anywhere. Instead, you will be asked to upload your video to a hosting platform, with YouTube being just one of the many options available. You can set the privacy settings for your video so that it is viewable only by people with the link. Alternatively, you can use a more private platform like Dropbox or Google Drive.

If you feel uncomfortable with this process, please let us assist you.

If you can’t perform all the skills that were taught in that week, don’t worry. Focus on working on a few elements you’d love to master or elements you want in-depth feedback on and send what you are able to practice during the 6 days after the workshop.

You’ll receive your private feedback within 5 days of submitting your video.

Make sure you always check in with your instructor about the challenges you’re having or that you’re missing.
The Mentorship should provide you with a feasible and sustainable level of challenges, teaching you something new or helping you refine your skills and dancing style.

If the program is too challenging or not challenging enough, make sure you communicate with your instructor and with your host about it.

We’re here to help you along your journey of progress.

After the Mentorship is over

Depends on the instructor, but generally you should send it within 2 weeks after the last workshop.

No, currently the downloading feature for the mentorship is unavailable. However, you will have access to the course platform for a total of 3 months after the mentorship ends (a total of 4 months). This means you can access the content whenever you want during that period.

Once the workshops are finished, you will still have some time to receive feedback from your instructor. Generally you’ll be given 2 weeks. Some instructors will be available for a longer time after the Mentorship is over to receive your video and send you feedback. You’ll always know for how long you can reach out to them to receive feedback.

If your instructor forgot to send you the feedback, please send them a polite reminder or contact your Mentorship host, Clotilde or Amber, so they can send to the instructor a reminder for you.

You’re going to have access to your Kajabi platform until the next round of the Mentorship. If not stated anywhere else it will be for a min of 3 months.

If your Certificate has some mistake on it, or you haven’t received it within 3 weeks after the Mentorship is over, please email us at: mentorships@indipoledance.com or clotilde@indipoledance.com
